Today I went shopping with my Safta. We were looking for a dress to wear for my Bat Mitzvah. (gasp… so soon!) My mother suggested going to the Burlington Coat Factory, so we went there. One problem: they don’t have such a great selection. I have to say, we did okay, though. We found a really good dress, plus some more clothes. I don’t know if we will keep the dress, and I’m still hoping for something better. I am very visual, so I can picture exactly what I want my dress to look like: let”s see how well I can describe it. Okay, here goes: A dark purple dress as the base color, a dark blue shrug (not navy) with purple sequins, several layers at the bottom, and the designs in the same dark blue as above, with some more purple sequins. The belt will also be dark blue, and so will the lace at the top. I think I did a good job in describing it. Of course, I’m not expecting to get it, but that would be nice, too:) I really do love shopping with my Safta, and she loves it too. We are a lot alike.

UPDATE:
My dress looked nothing like I originally imagined, but I loved it even more! Perfect!

You certainly described the dress very clearly. With your talents, you might consider designing. Wonder whether you might have the dress made!
What a compliment. I love to spend time with my oldest grand daughter. You are so much fun.
